Mr. Swaden has been listed in the "Best Lawyers in America" since 1997, the "Top 40 Minnesota Family Law Attorneys" in the Minnesota Journal of Law and Politics from 1994 to present, a "Minnesota Superlawyer" in the Minnesota Journal of Law and Politics and Mpls-St. Paul Magazine since 1994, and a "Leading Minnesota Attorney" ever since that designation was created.
Mr. Swaden is past President of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a member of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, past Chairman of the Minnesota Trial Lawyer's Association Family Law Committee, past member of the Board of Governor's of the Minnesota Trial Lawyer's Assoctiation, a past member of the Executive Committee of the Hennepin County Family Law Committee, a member of the Minnesota Bar Association Family Law Committee, and a past member of the Fourth Judicial District Ethics Committee.
Mr. Swaden has been an adjunct Professor at William Mitchell College of Law and Hamline University School of Law. He has been appointed by the Minnesota Supreme Court to serve on the Family Law Rules Committee, and has been a frequent contributor to various legal publications as well as a legal seminar faculty speaker.
Mr. Swaden has performed with the Minnesota Opera Company chorus from 1997 to present.
